Author's E2K: October 2003
Welcome to the October issue of Net Author's E2K! This issue continues our countdown of the Net Author's Third Annual Flash Fiction Contest winners. If you missed the first and second place stories, please do go back to the last couple of issues (via the Archives link above) and catch them. In this issue, it's a pleasure to showcase the Third Place winner: Sarah Brandel's "Dear and Dearly Beloved." To recap the results: First Place (100usd prize): "Shi" by K. Cutter The final winning story of 2003's Flash Fiction Contest will be hosted in November's issue, just in time for the holiday season and before we take our December break. Again, for our winners, congratulations, and well done. And to all those who submitted entries, we offer a special thank you for your participation. And for those of you who've taken the time to write and tell our winners how much you enjoyed or appreciated their stories, please keep it up. Those little notes of positive feedback are often worth more than the prize in any contest. In addition to "Dear and Dearly Beloved" you'll also find Pat Tompkin's fascinating "No Longer Burning." Tad Wojnick returns to us with a fresh poem, Brice Major makes his own debut in the journal, and our own Staff Writer Magdalena Ball shares her latest review and interview.
Editor's Note: If you're an AOL user and are considering submitting material to us, please be sure to read the note for AOL users at the bottom of the Submission Guide.
